Bio

Originally from Lake Forest, Illinois, Keighley Nemickas is a professional performer based in New York City. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wake Forest University with a Bachelor of Science in Health & Exercise Science and minors in Health Policy & Administration, Chemistry, and Dance.

Keighley is a proud graduate of the Professional Semester and Online Musical Theater Program at Broadway Dance Center. Keighley has had experience as an assistant in pre-pro, class, and professional settings for choreographers such as Lizz Picini, Andrew Wilson, and Natalie Malotke. She prides herself on her calm and supportive presence in a room, quick pickup skills, musicality, and fantastic memory. Keighley is currently touring the world as the Swing for the original cast of CoComelon LIVE: Sing-a-Long.

Keighley has a strong passion and love for a creative process and the community it builds, and hopes to continue working on both sides of the table throughout her career. She also is wonderfully aware of the fact that nobody goes through a career in this industry alone, and has endless gratitude for her mentors and friends who have shown her the ropes, taken her under their wings, and continue to walk with her down this path. She hopes to pay it forward and extend the same kindness towards others who are new to the industry or who also might feel like they are “behind” because they didn’t follow a conventional path to NYC.

During her time at Wake Forest, Keighley worked closely with Christina Tsoules-Soriano, assisting her weekly community movement classes for individuals with Parkinson’s disease using the IMPROVment method. Along with a weekly class she co-taught at an Alzheimer’s Care Center, this experience enforced the common threads that draw Keighley to both dance and science - the ability to have a positive impact on the life of anyone it touches, the constant pursuit of excellence, and endless possibility for growth.

When not taking class or performing, you can probably find Keighley reading a book, trying a new dessert, or traveling as a tabulator for Starpower National Talent Competition!
